About My Practice:
I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Washington and a Master's in Women's and Gender Studies. I am fiercely committed to an anti-oppression approach to mental health. This means that I believe the experiences of oppressions and privileges we hold inform and shape our emotions, beliefs, and behaviors and are important to acknowledge in working toward change. I utilize approaches including EMDR therapy and DBT skills to help heal from trauma and decrease anxiety and depression (you can read more about EMDR here). I also specialize in (but do not limit my services to) transgender and gender-nonconforming people and people across the LGBTQI spectrum and myself identify as trans.
Currently I am providing therapy via telehealth only.
About Me:
As a trans- and queer-identified clinician, I have a passion for working with other trans and queer folks . I love reading and enjoy autobio comics and zines. I like learning to play the ukelele and banjo and cuddling with my cats whenever I can.
Payment:
Fee is $140/60-minute session.
Currently I accept Premera, Kaiser Permanente, United Healthcare, and Regence insurance. I will gladly provide you with detailed receipts to give to your insurance company if I am out of network.
